West Coast Classics are proud to present this absolutely exceptional and stunning example of this virtually all stock and completely rust and accident free and very rare 1939 Pontiac Silver Streak 2 Door Convertible Coupe with convertible coachwork by Fisher and dual rear seat configuration and boasting it's reliable and virtually bullet-proof overhead valve in line 223 CID L-Head inline six cylinder engine with a manual synchromesh 3 speed transmission!

The Pontiac 'Silver Streak' offered here is an example of the larger, better equipped and more expensive and luxurious example of the two six-cylinder ranges, the Deluxe, which for 1939 was built on a 120" wheelbase chassis and powered by a 222.7 CID (3.6-litre) sidevalve engine producing 85bhp. This rare model is a beautiful example of the late 1930's market for large, expensive motor cars which had almost all but vanished and only buyers that were very well connected were able to acquire such vehicles, which were in very short supply due to WWII. A wonderful opportunity to acquire a rarely seen and stylish, soft-top example of classic 1930s Art Deco Americana with styling by by noted designer Franklin Q. Hershey.

This particular car has been beautifully restored and finished in a striking 'Burgundy' color with a contrasting Red interior with a rare dual rear seat configuration and a Tan convertible soft top. The car looks absolutely beautiful and was the recipient of a professional restoration some years ago with reportedly only very few miles since the restoration and stored in a climate controlled facility as part of a collections since the restoration.

The whole interior in quite exceptional condition throughout! The matching 'Tan' Soft Top is also as new and all the restored chromework is also in very beautiful condition. The original spare wheel is in its rightful storage place in the trunk. The car boasts its original push button radio and banjo steering wheel and the inline 6 cylinder engine is extremely strong and powerful and this particular car drives magnificently - must be driven to be believed - drives straight as an arrow with no strange road wobbles, shakes or rattles - a truly remarkable daily driver that will give any modern day car a run for it's money!

This is a rare opportunity to own a great daily driving example of a never abused (and oozing pride of ownership of an obviously always garaged and rust free example) 1939 Pontiac Silver Streak 2 Door Convertible Coupe in simply superb condition throughout! This is one very rare and highly desirable and collectible unabused example of one of America's Pre-War classics and these high quality luxury cars were built to be able to complete long distances both quickly and in the utmost of luxury for it's day! We doubt that few finer examples exist anywhere.

This is one very desirable car for any classic American car collector or obviously any Pre-War classic car enthusiast to add to his collection and a sure-fire investment that's sure to appreciate over the years for any classic American car collector!
