The car was restored by the renown late Charlie Bacon. He was legendary in the Corvette community both in southern California and throughout the U.S and he restored many C1 and C2 Corvettes. Restoring classic Corvettes had been his hobby since 1963 and he had restored more than 50 of these American Sports Cars and owned over 100 Corvettes during the years. He belonged to the National Corvette Restorers Society, and was very well known and respected in the Corvette hobby community.

Rear end code AO 2 23 65, 3.70:1 Positraction rear end.

Purchased in 1975 by John Marquardt of John Fuel Injection, Downey CA, as a personal car from 'J & D Corvette'.
Sold to Phil Turney, Yucca Valley in 1995.
Purchase by Charlie Bacon in 2004 until recently acquired from his estate.
