West Coast Classics are proud to present a great example of this very rare (one of only 2,552 built in 1969) 1969 Torino GT Convertible in virtually completely rust free condition, with it's 302/220HP V8 'F' Code engine. A perfect candidate for the muscle car enthusiast to restore!

For 1969, the Ford Torino lineup again offered three bodystyles as in 1968; the 2 door Hardtop, the 2 door Fastback and the Convertible, which was much rarer than the 1968 version, with only 2,552 made compared to 5,310 in 1968. In either case the Torino GT convertible was a very limited production run with only 7,862 cars built in total during these models 1968-69 production years! The Torino GT Convertible included all 'Fairlane 500' features plus the 302 cid/220HP V8 engine, special GT nameplates, GT exterior trim, argent silver finished styled steel wheels, a heavy duty suspension, wide oval fiberglass-belted white sidewall tires, hood scoop, lower body side stripes on sport coupes and convertibles and a power convertible top.

The floor boards, trunk and all the typical rust-prone areas are solid apart from one very small area under the driver's side rear seat about the size of quarter and a few very minor signs of bubbling on the driver's side fenders (see photos below)! The car has two minor dents; on the driver's side front fender there is a dent by the headlight and on the drivers side rear bumper, by the rear tail light is another dent (see photos below). The car does look very impressive with triple black colors of black color paint, a black convertible top and black interior and seats. Please note that the the original spare wheel is located in the trunk. The original 302 V8 engine is extremely strong and powerful and this particular car seems to drives very well - we only recently acquired the car from it's most recent long-time California owner. The car also has automatic transmission, power steering, air conditioning (not working) and it's original radio.

Although obviously far from a concourse example, this remains a very rare and highly desirable and collectible and very original example of one of the outstanding muscle cars of the sixties, which has high repute amongst collectors for both it's beautiful lines and smooth fast performance for a large luxury convertible. In summary, this is one great daily driver, turn-key ready to enjoy today of a virtually rust free example of this increasingly desirable and collectible 1969 Ford Torino GT convertible! A sure-fire investment that's sure to appreciate over the years for any classic American sixties muscle car enthusiast or a perfect restoration project for the Torino GT enthusiast!
