The Plymouth GTX was a serious muscle car for the MOPAR enthusiast. The standard Belvedere was enhanced with special identification body side accent stripes, roof driprail moldings, and GTX equipment included foam padded front bucket seats, simulated woodgrain trim on the doors & instrument panel, heavy duty rear suspension, heavy duty front torsion bars, heavy duty brakes, heavy duty battery, firm ride shocks, dual horns, anti-sway bars, dual exhausts and the enlarged version of Chrysler's wedgehead V8 with 440 CID Super Commando & 375 HP or the optional Hemi. The 'gentleman's muscle car' with dual hood scoops, full carpeting, bucket seats and plenty of sparkling interior accents and offered in both hardtop and convertible body styles.
