Buick's third generation personal luxury car with once controversial, but now increasingly collectible, 'Boat tail' styling lasted for only 3 years (1971-73) with the first two years (1971-72) being the most desirable before the 1973 model's abbreviated boat-tail and undesirable larger 'safety' bumpers. The tapered fastback roof evoked memories of the 1930's Auburn Speedsters and reflected a penchant for retro styling late in the career of GM's legendary styling chief Bill Mitchell. Far more sculptured and far more massive than the earlier Riviera's yet still boasting 0-60mph in under 10 seconds!

The car has it's original and very handsome 'Cascade Blue' factory color paint and 'Blue' Vinyl roof and a very nice matching 'Blue' interior including the dashboard, steering wheel, carpets and seats, although please note that there is some wear showing in some areas, such as the drivers door panel etc. See photos below. It's original spare wheel and jack are in the trunk.

The car has no signs of any accidents or rust with the floor boards, trunk and all the typically rust-prone areas completely solid and rust free - obviously a most likely always garaged driver since new with the '455' 4 barrel V8 engine extremely strong and powerful and the suspension is tight and smooth and the steering is excellent.

This is a great opportunity to own a great daily driving example of a mostly all original survivor and a rust and accident free 1972 Buick Riviera, with Boat Tails now becoming harder to find in such fine mostly all original and unabused condition and and now becoming more desirable than ever before.

This is a great opportunity to own a highly desirable and collectible example of one of the outstanding GM designs of the early seventies, a fun investment that's sure to appreciate over the years for any classic American muscle car collector or simply any Buick enthusiast looking for a nice daily driving third generation Riviera!
