West Coast Classics are proud to present an absolutely superb and expensively customized example of this 1973 TR6 Roadster Convertible in the most classic and very striking 'British Racing Green' color paint with a newly upholstered Tan interior and soft top and tonneau cover and with a full weather tonneau cover and a file documenting its full and truly no expense spared frame off restoration!

This is obviously one rare and highly desirable classic British sports car - a completely body off and fully restored example of the legendary British sports car - the TR6 roadster! The car had a total body off restoration in 2008, with the vehicle body disassembled and removed from chassis for a rotisserie restoration, with restoration receipts totaling over $86,435; including $21,922 in paint & body, $2,986 interior, $444 doors & glass, $735 chrome, $350 sand blast & powder coat for over $26K in cosmetics alone; over $36K engine, over $11K drive train & suspension.

The engine has been bored to 2.7 litres and upgrades include; Wiseco high compression forged alloy pistons, bigger valves, ported, polished, and port matched to exhaust & intake manifold, Titan roller rockers, Kent camshaft, shaved head & decked block (10.25:1.0 comp), adjustable vernier timing gear, Carillo connecting rods, stainless steel exhaust headers & complete stainless steel exhaust system, lightened flywheel, complete engine balance, Triple twin throat 40 DCOE Weber carburetors, high tensile ARP bolts, alloy engine sump with baffles, aluminum rear engine to bell housing mounting plates, polished alloy valve cover, light weight reduction drive starter motor, Mallory distributor, Streetfire dual spark electronic ignition with rev counter, electric cooling fan to radiator, Blue printed oil pump, Electronic tachometer conversion, spin on oil with oil cooler, Toyota Supra 5 speed gear box, Quaife limited slip differential, custom HVDA mounting brackets, Toyota 4 piston front brake calipers, cross drilled rotors, finned alloy rear brake drums, front spindle reinforcing kit, Moto Lita steering wheel, retro radio, aluminum radiator shroud, Mazda Miata seats, reproduction Minilite wheels, walnut dashboard, upholstered roll bar, Sunfast tonneau and convertible top, competition lowered coil springs, Koni telescopic shock absorbers, front & rear, uprated front sway bar, strengthened & gusseted frame.

The classic and most desirable 'BRG' color paint is in simply stunning condition and the interior is also quite extraordinary with Tan bucket seats and matching door panels interior, a lovely original steering wheel and original wood dashboard. The Tan color soft top is also as new and as is the cars tonneau cover and full weather tonneau cover and it's all original wheels. The upgraded and bored to 2.7L 6 cylinder engine with triple Weber carbs purrs quietly under the hood and the upgraded 5 speed manual transmission shifts smoothly through the gears - an absolute pleasure to drive! The car would have to be considered pretty much flawless, one hell of a statement, but which we believe to be true!

The Triumph TR6 was introduced in 1969 and was a smoothly redesigned successor to the TR5/250. It was facelifted by Karmann of Osnabruck, the legendary German coachbuilders. The TR6 also featured an independent rear suspension, rack and pinion steering, 15-inch wheels and tires, pile carpet on floors and trunk/boot, bucket seats and a full complement of instrumentation. Braking was accomplished by disc brakes at the front and drums at the rear.

Without a doubt this will prove to be one rare piece of British motoring history - a beautiful and virtually flawless fully restored with expensive and desirable upgrades on a 1973 Triumph TR6 with full documentation of over $86K in restoration costs, a special example for any Triumph enthusiast or for any serious collection or simply any classic British sports car lover to enjoy today!
