The 2004 Porsche 911 40th Anniversary Edition (996 generation) is a highly sought after limited production model built to celebrate 40 years of the 911. Only 1,963 individually numbered units were produced globally. Today, these cars are widely considered highly collectible 'best-of-era' 996s.
Painted only in a GT Silver Metallic finish, with a dark gray leather interior, the 40th Anniversary (or 40 Jahre in German) took the base model 996 Carrera and added the front fascia of the 996 Turbo, side skirts and luxury features for the cabin.
Mechanically, the X51 Powerkit pushed horsepower to 341, driving the rear wheels via the standard 6-speed manual, while a sport suspension and limited-slip differential put that power down a bit more effectively than the standard car.
